Here you can see Shieldaig and its surrounding landscape in all its glory. I waited until August to get this shot because the sun sets at the top of the loch, allowing everything to be lit with golden light. From studying map after map I found the little loch you can see below with its own island in it - almost a mirror of Shieldaig Island.
While the aerial image is stunning, please know that below I was stuck in the worst midge attack I've ever experienced. Being a photogapher is not glamourous.
